Audio ergo sum: Playing with Audio-only Streams in WebRTC and Janus
OS-01
Lorenzo Miniero
Chairman
Meetecho
While video takes the lion's share of interest a lot of the time, when it comes to WebRTC scenarios, more and more applications have started showing increasing interest in audio as well, if not focusing on audio-only use cases entirely: ClubHouse and Twitter Spaces are a couple of good examples of successful applications in that area. This presentation will describe some of the efforts we've spent in that direction in the open source Janus WebRTC Server, and in particular on the AudioBridge plugin, which implements audio mixing functionality. After a brief introduction on Janus itself, the presentation will focus on some of the enhancements we implemented in the AudioBridge plugin recently, both in terms of functionality (e.g., spatial audio, cascaded mixing, etc.) and scalability (e.g., integration in a virtual event platform). The talk will then present a few examples of how these new features were used for interesting new applications.

STIR/SHAKEN with SIPp
OS-02
Andreas Granig
Founder & CEO
Sipfront
STIR/SHAKEN is a very important part of the fight against robo-callers and any other situation when Caller ID may be abused. As a relatively new piece in the IP Telephony puzzle, an implementation needs to be properly tested. Andreas Granig has extensive experience of SIP testing, and has produced an automated cloud-based testing tool called SIPfront. In this session, he will outline the way STIR/SHAKEN can be tested with a well-known open source test tool and traffic generator called SIPp

JSON Within A Relational Database
OS-03
Dave Stokes
MySQL Community Manager
Oracle
JSON has become the data interchange format of choice for most developers. Relational databases are great for storing data. But how do you get strictly typed relational data to work with free-form JSON? This session covers how the addition of a JSON data type can completely streamline the architecture of your relational data. Not only can JSON data columns be used to reduce expensive many-to-many joins but they can allow a degree of flexibility in data structure not found in traditional RDMS. This can also provide NoSQL capabilities alongside your relational data. You will learn where these new strategies can provide a more flexible but resilient data store for your project.

Success in Formula 1 relies on performance and reliability down to the millisecond. Data being collected from the car and driver must be quickly unpacked, analyzed and applied, which impacts every engineering decision. Things that may seem small can matter in a big way in terms of track performance – and there is no margin for error or downtime. What can race car drivers and engineers do to maximize all this data? … Utilize edge cloud technology. This session, delivered by Zadara CEO Nelson Nahum, will describe how Formula 1 race cars are leveraging edge cloud technology to streamline performance and optimize the bottom-line in a flexible, pocket-friendly manner. More broadly, Nelson will also discuss the future of edge computing and how that will impact other IoT use cases (applications) moving forward.

The Government and YOUR Products/Services
OS-10
Michael Price
Owner
MarketUS®
Why do we believe having a GSA contract is so important? Have you ever tried to rent a car without a credit card? The same scenario exists. The government cannot just buy from you. You need a contract vehicle for the buyer to place an order against. A GSA contract is the fastest and easiest way to get a 'number' to make the buyer's job easier. Many companies believe that simply registering with SAM (System for Award Management) will net you business. Nothing could be further from the truth. SAM registration is required before you can do business with the government, that's all. You must have a contract vehicle for the buyer to place an order against. Get started now with your own GSA contract. The myth is that a company can succeed without a contract and continue to accept open market orders of $3,000 or less. This violates the CICA (Competition in Contracting Act) and is illegal for multiple purchases. The buyer must combine these requirements and place an order with a contract.
